Spider Monkeys try not to get lost (Orienteering)

Our session began by learing to draw simple, reliable maps. Turns out our 2D mapping skills are ace and we walked this test! Nice work team.

Once we had ensured we could sort east from west and understood a key, we set out into the wilderness.
Well,a field, but it was very muddy!

The challenge: to locate 13 points using coordinates and markers. These would spell out a craftily hidden message. However it did turn out that our bright little bunnies realised once they had identified 'H I G and H that there may be a common theme and guessed the other 9 letter! Smart!!!
Some lovely team work went on in this challenge.
It gave everyone the chance to shine.
Nothing passed by our beady eyes!

 Found you!!
Some were a matter of perspective.

Trust me... I know the way!

 We did it!!!!!!
 Triumph!
A lovely morning. Everyone was ready for lunch and an afternoon raft building- bring it on!

  1. Yet another great day for you all. Everyone is all smiles and having good fun.
Does this mean that they will all be fully independent when they get home? Thats what I call an education.

Mr. Sturgess- could you tell Jack that I've been to the doctors again today. I thought I was a pair of curtains. The Doctor told me to pull myself together!!!
