Little did they know as they played jenga and dominoes, that they were about to embark on a sightless journey into the unknown....... ok well through mini-buses and stuff (but it seems trickier when you have a blindfold on)
The idea is to guide your friends through the obstacles and keep them safe. Tricky but super fun to listen to. 'whats this? its squishy... um I think thats my arm!'
Through....
Up...
Over...
Um..through again
Down (carefully)
Mixing it up by going under, over and through!
All made it through stage one alive!
Where am I?......'I think its a cave... nope another minibus!'
Everything is better when you work as a team!
Smile!!!!!!
The course wound its way all around the centre and some of lifes simplest task became quite tricky.
Under we go......
'How is there a cave here?' Its funny what the brain creates when one sense is taken away.
And then they encountered........ the Spider Web!
Much giggling and hilarity ensued.
Next they wiggled their way through what they thought were trees.
This activity looks so simple and yet it showed really clearly that the Yr 6's are becoming a team. Looking out for each other and helping each other overcome obstacles. Every day at the end of the session they are asked:
1.What was your challenge today?
2.What did you enjoy today
3. Who did you help
The answer to the third question is gettig longer every day. The team coming along nicely... i really proud of you guys. Mrs W
